This roman a clef presents a former Miramax publicist`s view of life as a film industry peon. Karen Jacobs finds her job as a CNN researcher unbearably tedious, so she trades up (apparently) for a glittering but exhaustingly insane position at Glorious Pictures, run by the title`s Tony and Phil Waxman (the stand-ins for the founders of Miramax, Harvey and Bob Weinstein). Other not-very-well-disguised celebrities who drift through the tale include Harvey Keitel, Robert De Niro, and Prince. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
