The Oakland Raiders have not only had three Super Bowl champions since their inception with the upstart American Football League in 1960, but some of the most colorful characters in football history. It starts at the top with maverick owner Al Davis, who is called The Genius--with admiration by some and derision by others. The Raiders have been a team known for playing as hard off the field as on, led by the likes of Kenny Snake Stabler, John The Tooz Matuszak, Kick'Em in the Head Ted Hendricks, Big Ben Davidson and linebacker Phil Foo Villapiano. And the Raiders practically have their own wing at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, with legends such as Jim Double O Otto, Gene Upshaw, Art Shell, George Blanda, Willie Brown and Dave Ghost Casper.
