A biography of Janusz Korczak, a writer, radio personality, teacher, and doctor who is best remembered for his work as the director of a Jewish orphanage in Poland during the early years of the Nazi regime. Korczak could not save the children from the Nazis, but he stayed with them, protecting them as best they could, even when they were forced to relocate to the death camp of Treblinka.
